Aminata Mbow Diokhane

Chief, Center of Air Quality Monitoring

Aminata is the Chief of Center for Air Quality Management (Centre de Gestion de la Qualité de l’Air – CGQA) since October 2014, under the Direction of the Environment and Classified Establishment at the Senegalese Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development. Aminata implements Dakar’s air quality assessment program, which includes establishing partnerships with national and local stakeholders, developing networks with national and international programs, and providing assistance to Senegalese public authorities regarding air quality management. She is the co-author of a manuscript, “Linkages between Observed, Modeled Saharan Dust Loading and Meningitis in Senegal during 2012 and 2013.” She has a Master’s in science in internet and multimedia engineering from South Bank University and a Bachelor’s in engineering from the Polytechnic School of Dakar. She also has a certificate in software deployment for air quality management systems, a web portal design for air quality from the Norwegian Institute for Air Research, and a certificate in air pollution source management from Kitakyushu, Japan.
