Benjamin de la Pena serves as the Seattle Department of Transportation’s Chief of Strategy and Innovation. He works on urban issues that cover public life, engagement, technology, sustainable transportation and informal systems. He spent nearly a decade in philanthropy supporting pioneering work such as WalkScore, TransitScore, DigitalMatatus, CityCamp, TransportationCamp, the BRT Standard, the Informal City Dialogues, Code for America and Gehl Institute. He has a Master’s in Urban Planning from Harvard University and Bachelor’s in Communication (Journalism) from the University of the Philippines.
