Karisa Ribeiro is a transport engineer with a specialization in urban planning and mobility, management of large infrastructure projects, economic feasibility analysis, and planning and modeling of transport systems. As a senior transport specialist at IDB, Karisa is dedicated to the conception, management and monitoring of large infrastructure projects in Brazil and the Bank’s portfolio in the region. She has 20 years of experience working in Brazil, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, including coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and developing business and diverse opportunities in public and private sectors. She is also an expert in project management, economic viability analysis, mobility and urban accessibility, optimization of resources and capital in large infrastructure projects. She has a Master’s and PhD degree in Civil Engineering from Nagoya, Japan, and a degree in Civil Engineering from Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
