Kathryn Carlson

Director of Transportation, Better City

Kathryn Carlson is the Director of Transportation at A Better City, a business membership association that works between the public and private sectors to enhance Boston and the region’s economic health, competitiveness, vibrancy, sustainability and quality of life. In this role, she builds and implements the organization’s robust transportation research and policy agendas and oversees the management of two Transportation Management Associations. Prior to joining A Better City, Kathryn spent almost a decade in economic research at Fidelity Investments and is the inventor of the Buca Boot, a bicycle storage system. She serves on the board of the LivableStreets Alliance and devotes much of her time, professionally and personally, to making it easier for people to get around without a car.
