Lina Lopez works for C40 Cities as the City Adviser for Medellin. She is responsible for engaging internal and external stakeholders, facilitating knowledge transfer across the city and the wider C40 network, and working with consultants to provide high quality tailored technical assistance to support locally-led efforts to deliver the transformative climate action plan for the city. Prior to joining C40, Lina worked for six years as a Public Servant at the Environmental and Transport Authority, Area Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá. She was the co-creator of Medellín’s Bike Share System, and responsible for elaborating the long-term Bicycle Master Plan for the city. Se coordinated a team to formulate Sustainable Mobility Plans for organizations and building cycling infrastructure in different municipalities around the Aburrá Valley. Lina holds a Master of Science in Transport and City Planning from University College London and a Product Design Engineer degree from Universidad EAFIT (Medellin-Colombia).
