Olajide is the Head of Transport Safety and Traffic Management of Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA). He is a Nigerian Transport Management professional with special expertise in Traffic Management and Road Safety. His current role focuses on safety components in all of LAMATA’s infrastructure development, traffic flow improvements, and accident reduction. He was introduced to LAMATA during his time as a consultant for the World Bank in 2005, when the agency was first formed. From 1990 to 2005, he was a traffic engineer and Principal for road maintenance in the Highways and Engineering at the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. Olajide is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). He earned a Master of Science in Airport Planning Design and Management at the Loughborough University of Technology in Leicestershire, and received a Bachelor’s in Transport Management from the University of Greenwich and London University.
